We work together

FOR A GREEN AND INCLUSIVE EUROPE

Active partnership model for sustainable development (PACT 2020)

Through this project, the Transylvanian Highlands platform supports local communities in 10 villages, through education and information, to become a voice in the local decision-making process. We will be reviewing regional development policies from the perspective of conservation objectives and strengthen the Transylvanian Highlands initiative (consisting of 11 organizations) by improving the advocacy, organizational management and communication skills.

OBJECTIVES

We have three major goals by the end of the project, in 2023.

  1. Groups of 150 people from 10 villages in Transylvanian Highlands will go through an information and education process which will ensure a system of good local governance for sustainable development initiated by active and involved communities.

  2. The Transylvanian Highlands platform becomes the main instrument for influencing regional development policies and ensures the transposition of local visions into public policies at regional and / or national level.

  3. The Transylvanian Highlands Partnership, through the development of working tools that facilitate collaboration and organizational development, strengthens its ability to be an important pawn in the decision-making process at the regional level and to benefit the communities and nature of the Transylvanian Highlands.

COMMUNITIES

We work together with the people from the Transylvanian Highlands, more precisely from the following communities:

  • Brașov County: Viscri, Cincșor, Criț;

  • Sibiu County: Alma Vii, Malancrav, Richis, Agnita;

  • Mureș County: Saschiz, Daia, Archita.

How do communities become active and healthy?

Some knowledge and experiences on how the community can respond in real time to its needs, are synthesized in animations created specifically to be inspiration.

Learn how through involvement and responsibility, people ensure that the values of local communities are respected and protected.

Learn how human, natural and economic elements are interdependent and support each other to create a better present and future.
