Dear Hikers,

The hike starts from the vicinity of the fortified Church of Richiș, where there is a place to park the cars. We follow the Via Transilvanica sign and cross Richișul on the road to Biertan and, after leaving the town, turn left onto a dirt road. From a crossroad, we turn right towards Biertan and climb the hill gently, through a landscape of meadows and natural meadows bordered by forest. On the top of the hill, we contemplate the panorama of Richiș village and take a break for a snack. We continue the hike on a path through the forest to the top of the Biertan fortress. From here we go down to a meadow, then continue on an asphalted road to the entrance to the fortress. The route is relatively easy, with a length of 12 km, suitable for people with a good physical condition and children at least 5-6 years old, who have gone hiking before.
Before the hike, also in the area, there is a greening campaign, for those who want to join, it starts at 9.00 a.m. with the meeting point at the Fortified Church in Richiș and lasts until 10.30 - 11.00 a.m.

WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet on Sunday morning, at 11:00 a.m., at the Richiș Fortified Church. From here we start our hike on the route Via Transilvanica – Richiș – Biertan
