The old ”Mocănița” Train is coming back to the Hârtibaciu Valley.
You can take a ride on the old narrow gauged line train and discover the landscape of Hârtibaciului Valley, Saturday at 13:00 from Hosman station, just 20 km north-east from Sibiu.
The route will be a round trip between the villages of Hosman and Cornățel, on a total distance of 14 km which will be covered in approximately one hour and 45 minutes.

The train consists of the Deutz diesel locomotive produced in 1957 in Germany, a 40-seater open passenger car and a 50-seat closed passenger car. Because the seats are not numbered, the occupancy of the seats in the wagons is done on the principle of first come, first served.

According to joint order of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communications no. 79/988/2020 on measures and rules in the field of transport during the Covid 19 pandemic, distance measures are not recquired on board trains, but it does requires the use of a protective mask in both wagons and platforms, so please insist on using the mask!
