From April, with the arrival of the storks until, October, when the last migrating species leave for the warm countries, you will be surrounded by birdsongs or flying wonders that populate Transylvanian Highlands, especially for nesting.

In winter, there is no shortage of enchanting meetings, with several species of hawks and eagles always paying attention to the next prey on the ground, with swans floating on the water mesh or with a lazy Ural owl, who rests during the day, to be in shape when the moon rises and until dawn.

Transylvanian Highlands host nesting spots for the most significant population of lesser spotted eagle and European honey buzzard in Romania.

​

Here, the populations of Ural owl, European nightjar, middle spotted woodpecker, woodlark and  red-backed shrike are large, compared to other sites in the country. The Corn crake population is significant on a global scale. It is also among the top ten sites in the country for the grey-headed woodpecker.
