Viscri 44, located just steps away from the fortified church, part of the UNESCO heritage, is a homestead founded by the Orend family in 1851. It is certain that a house existed there since the construction of the fortress, as the homesteads around the church belonged to the most respected families in the village, which is evident in the unusually generous dimensions of the courtyard. The annexes, which have been converted into guest rooms, underwent an extensive renovation from 2019 to 2021, and Viscri 44 has reopened its doors with a new look – from the redesigned rooms and reconfigured bathrooms to the revived garden.
